Our stylists are highly trained professionals who can keep you to date on the latest trends, as well as give you a style that is personalized to your lifestyle. Our convenient, relaxing location is a getaway experience when you are here.

We started this blog for those who have had bad hair days, but needed a little extra help with tips and techniques to help transform your day to day look. Now it has evolved into a place where you can still get those tips, but also can stay informed on what is going on in our community. We want everyone to embrace the beauty around them-especially the beauty within.
It is my mission to help all of us see what true beauty surrounds us.

NEW YEAR, NEW YOU

Earlier this month we told everyone about the NEW YEAR, NEW YOU contest that we were having. The contest included color, cut, make up application and free products to help that lucky winner keep her look.  We picked a winner last week -- her name is Melanie Trotman and she probably has the sweetest husband on the planet! He wrote a beautiful email to us here at La Bella explaining why Melanie deserves this make over and we were so touched by his story that we chose her.

Melanie is the mother of a two year old little girl and takes care of her mother. She also works full time but her hours conists of the graveyard shift. She wanted something easier for her to do than just wearing her hair up all the time. She did have some highlights in her hair that I could tell had been growing out for quite some time. I suggested that we make her a caramel blonde to brighter up her face and cut her hair into a layered bob since her hair is so fine and flat, she will be to just blow dried it in the morning and go! A simple but elegant hairstyle for a mother on the go. Let's face it: the BOB never goes out!

After the highlight and haircut, I gave her make up application. She has very nice skin but it's just a bit on the dry side. I first prepped her with SPF 15 daily moisturizer then I applied powder foundation because liquid dries the skin out more. I put brown eyeshawdow just on the corner of her eyelids to bring out the blue in her eyes then I blended the brown with a soft shade of purple. Then came the mascra in black and some rosy lipstick because, look at her, she has wonderful full lips!

Melanie loved her new make over and so did her husband! She got to take home UNITE 7seconds Leave-In Condtioner, UNITE SessionWhip, which will help with the volume at the crown of her head, and a round brush to help achieve this look at home!

See you next week!
