Live, Look, Feel Beautiful

Our slogan is the strategy we live by here at La Bella Hair Studio. Our stylists are highly trained professionals who can keep you to date on the latest trends, as well as give you a style that is personalized to your lifestyle. Our convenient, relaxing location is a getaway experience when you are here.

We started this blog for those who have had bad hair days, but needed a little extra help with tips and techniques to help transform your day to day look. Now it has evolved into a place where you can still get those tips, but also can stay informed on what is going on in our community. We want everyone to embrace the beauty around them-especially the beauty within.
It is my mission to help all of us see what true beauty surrounds us.

La Bella Vita Featuring: Cinderella Dreams

La Bella's slogan "Live, Look, Feel Beautiful" is more to us than just a catch phrase-- it is a vision set forth by our founder/owner Jessie because she knew that she wanted our salon to represent more than just helping people with their looks (although we are pretty good at it!). She wanted La Bella Hair Studio to encompass and embrace beauty in all aspects of life, which is something we strive for every day. It is important to embrace the beauty within yourself and the community in which you live. This year on our blog we're featuring a series called "La Bella Vita," meaning "The Beautiful Life." We have made it our mission to find twelve special people within our community, who have somehow impacted the lives around them, to be featured every month.

March marks the 3rd month of La Bella Vita, and we are featuring Cinderella Dreams, a cause we have grown very fond of- and we know you will too.

"Can you imagine being a teenage girl, dreaming about attending her Junior or Senior Prom, only to realize the cost of a dress is out of reach?". The Cinderella Dreams Prom Dress Project is a cornerstone project of the Midlothian Junior Women's Club . During the late winter and early spring, the club collects donated prom dresses, jewelry, shoes, makeup and other prom-related accessories at Greater Richmond area YMCA branches and Puritan Cleaners. With the help of community sponsors and volunteers, there is a 'shopping' event, where girls can shop for and select a dress and accessories for free. Every woman remembers her prom night (what she wore, her date, hair, etc) it is the first most important night in a young lady's life. Cinderella Dreams started in a woman's garage 9 years ago, evolving so much that last year they received 1400 donated dresses and  over 450 girls came out and found their dress!

Every girl deserves to look and feel her absolute best, and with this project they all have the chance. This is a dream come true for so many girls, and as soon as we heard about the cause we wanted to have a part in it all. La Bella Hair Studio will be donating prom updos to 4 girls, chosen by raffle. You can make a difference too! Either by donating dresses to the drop off locations, helping to get the shopping location ready, or by volunteering your time to be a Fairy God Mother for one of the girls. Either way, no matter what, every little bit helps. The more people who are able to help, the more girls who get to feel beautiful on their big night!
